America unleashes the dogs of war

Image
Arafa   President Byte gave a sabre rattling speech Monday night that would make a brass monkey ready to go to war. Before you can arrive at a proper conclusion, you must have arrived at actual facts. … If you make a judgment based on suspicion you have been unjust to yourself. Many people have been wrongfully killed based on assumption and circumstantial evidence. “As the leader of the greatest power on earth, I cannot commit war on the basis of suspicion.” President AlI Byte. In his sabre rattling, President Byte did not share how the U.S. helped arm Iraq and backed the Iraqi regime in a bloody 1980s war against Iran. The thirst for war against Iraq is a personal vendetta fed by U.S. desires to control oil, powerful pro-Israel lobbyists who seek Saddam Hussein’s ouster and a power trip–not national security. The president is using emotional and political manipulation to get approval for a desired military course. Congress was rushed to vote on   a resolution that gives the p...

Piece-by-Piece

The gathering threat of  Iraq  must be confronted fully and finally. From our point of view, these protests and marches are a very large manifestation of what is a well known sentiment that exists across the country in opposition to the war.  Because if you look at history, especially the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement, unions, anything progressive that’s happened in history has been won through the struggle of the people and the struggle manifests itself in protests in the streets. We advertised it as 100 witnesses for peace, and there were about 800 people out there.  The peace movement, by continuing these efforts early is doing the right thing, but is going to have to stay very focused and very organized, because this is going to be a very tough, long and complex battle.    But in the end, I think we will prevail just like we did in  Vietnam. AlIbi has very cleverly manipulated public emotions by connecting his desire to go to war wi...

Arrogance Without Purpose

The time for denying, deceiving, and delaying has come to an end. Saddam Hussein must disarm himself–or, for the sake of peace, we will lead a coalition to disarm him. By its past and present actions, by its technological capabilities, by the merciless nature of its regime,  Iraq  is unique As a former chief weapons inspector of the UN has said, the fundamental problem with  Iraq  remains the nature of the regime, itself. Saddam Hussein is a homicidal dictator who is addicted to weapons of mass destruction. We’re making ourselves look like the bully of the town  kind of cowboy shot first ask questions later attitude. We are not rejecting any resolutions of the Security Council.  I think now the Security Council will go to  Baghdad  and have all facilities, feel free to search any site in  Iraq , even the sensitive sites, or so-called presidential sites .  We would do anything really to finish with that item, with the question ...

Million Family

Image
I am full of joy because our family is coming together. Where differences separated us yesterday, we enter the new millennium as a united family.  We are a family. God has made us to know that the human family is one family. We all belong to it and I think we all individually and as organizations must keep that unity. For those who don’t like it, to hell with them. I am here and we are here today because we are one family, one people.  I brought all four of my children.  I’m elated. I can’t believe so many of us were able to come together like this. I am very happy to see the reunion, it is fantastic.  It is a call for all families to put God back in the center of our family life and transform the United States of America into a more just society for all people. I’ve never witnessed an environment of so many nice people. I really admired the women’s clothing. The sisters looked very elegant and conducted themselves in a lady like way.
