Million Family


 

I am full of joy because our family is coming together. Where differences separated us yesterday, we enter the new millennium as a united family.

 We are a family. God has made us to know that the human family is one family.

We all belong to it and I think we all individually and as organizations must keep that unity. For those who don’t like it, to hell with them.

I am here and we are here today because we are one family, one people. I brought all four of my children. I’m elated. I can’t believe so many of us were able to come together like this.

I am very happy to see the reunion, it is fantastic. It is a call for all families to put God back in the center of our family life and transform the United States of America into a more just society for all people.

I’ve never witnessed an environment of so many nice people. I really admired the women’s clothing. The sisters looked very elegant and conducted themselves in a lady like way.

Good Men

  I thank God that I was here to witness and to be a part of honor being given to men who have lived their lives and given their lives to make life better for others. I am happy to see my brothers honored, because what I know of them and their great works, honor that you receive today can never pay for the sacrifices that each one of you have made to improve the quality of life of others. But, who really knows these men? Who really knows the path that they have trod to get to where they are? These men who are honored today: Their story can never be fully known by their contemporaries. We can read about each of their accomplishments; we can hear them in a sermon or on the radio, or personally experience their goodness, but that’s not all to their life story. The contemporaries of Jesus didn’t know him like those who came after him would  come to know him .
